Crab Meat Casserole

1/2 cup butter or oleo
2 2/3 cups milk
2 cans Crab Meat, flaked
2/3 cup flour
2 cups chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/3 cup slivered almonds
4 hard cooked eggs, chopped
2 pimentos, chopped
Salt to taste (optional)
1 cup shredded sharp cheese
Buttered bread crumbs

Melt butter, add flour and mix well. Remove from heat and slowly add milk. Cook, stirring constantly until sauce thickens. Add Crab Meat, celery, peppers, almonds, eggs, pimento and salt. Pour into 2 quart casserole. Top with cheese and bread crumbs. Cook at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes. Serves 8.
